Air ambulance is an aircraft, (usually a Helicopter but also airplanes) used for emergency evacuation in case the patient has to get into a hospital as soon as possible but can not get there buy an ordinary ambulance because he is in a distant place or in other situations where he needs the evacuation as soon as possible like if he is seriously injured and an ordinary ambulance would be too slow to save his life.

The Air ambulance crews are trained to escort the patient and are supplied with equipment that enables them to provide medical treatment to a critically injured or ill patient.

But who really needs an air ambulance? and what considerations should we take before calling an Air Ambulance?

An Air Ambulance is used in many places such as:

Air ambulance in the military: During World War 1, air ambulances were first tested by the army.

Aircraft were still old and primitive but the idea was successful and by 1936, there was an organized military air ambulance service which was evacuating wounded from the Spanish Civil War for medical treatment in Nazi Germany.

The first dedicated use of helicopters by U.S. forces occurred during the Korean War (1950-1953) to evacuate casualties from the battlefield and to move critical patients to more advanced hospital ships.

The knowledge and expertise at the use of aircraft as ambulances continued to evolve, until the idea has spread to civil causes.

Air ambulance in Organizations: Air ambulance service is provided by a variety of different organizations worldwide such as military & civilian groups, government funded, Private organizations, donated by a business enterprise, or funded by public donations.

There are also dedicated aircraft and those with multiple purposes and roles.

There are also different types of aircrafts used, including rotary-wing, fixed-wing, or very large aircraft.

In almost all jurisdictions, private aircraft charter companies provide non-emergency air ambulance service on a fee-for-service basis.

Air Ambulance has to stand in all of the given standards such as: professional trained medical crew, professional pilot and professional equipment and interiors

Important points when in a need of an air ambulance is to check: whether they have all the standards, do they work with all of the insurance companies, how quickly can they reach the target and how quick the service (should be 24/7 service) is. Also check how old the company is and if the prices are reasonable

For example: Orange Aviation is a company that gives a worldwide air ambulance service, has a 24/7 quick service, 34 years of experience, works with all insurance companies, stands in all of the standards (has modern aircrafts, well trained medical staff as well as professional pilots) and has low prices.

Cholesterol is essential to life and is used by every single cell in the human body. Some people are genetically predisposed to a high cholesterol level but diet and lifestyle changes can help to lower cholesterol naturally. Cholesterol is a white flaky substance , different from other waxy substances. Cholesterol is produced by the liver and is found in bile which helps to digest fatty foods in the intestine. Cholesterol is found in human blood and brain tissue. It is also found in arteries that has plaque buildup. Significant changes occur in the arterial walls during the process of plaque buildup. The actual hardening is due to the formation of bone tissue in the arterial wall. This hardening is referred to as atherosclerosis or the hardening of the arteries. Fat and cholesterol work their way into the artery wall to produce the dreaded build up of plaque.
Obviously the main role of cholesterol in the body is not the production of a atherosclerosis. Cholesterol is produced by the liver for several vital purposes.
Cholesterol serves various important functions in the body. It is a vital component of the microscopic wall or membrane that surrounds each cell, providing the cell with support and protection. Cholesterol is also required for the formation of Vitamin D and for the hormone testosterone estrogen, progesterone and cortisol. In the brain and spinal cord, cholesterol serves as part of the insulation that covers your nerve cells and keeps your nerve signals going to the right locations. It also forms a key role in the formation of bile. Without cholesterol we would not be able to digest the fats found in many of the foods we eat. When the cholesterol level in the blood rises because of diet , the production of cholesterol by the liver is reduced in an attempt to keep the level of cholesterol in the blood constant.
Cholesterol comes from two sources, your diet and the cholesterol manufactures on its own. The vast majority of cholesterol is supposed to be made in the body. However, in our modern “fat and calorie overload” we consume far more than our bodies can use. To make matters worse the high calorie and fat content in our diets can stimulate excess cholesterol production making it harder for cholesterol to be removed from the blood stream.
Cholesterol does not travel around the blood stream by itself, It is generally packaged with fats called triglycerides. Triglycerides are the body’s preferred form of energy storage. The only reason you can survive for long periods without food is because of your body’s triglycerides stores. Triglycerides make up about 95% of the fats in the foods you eat, and the vast majority of the fat in your body. Triglycerides are constructed from fatty acids. When a triglyceride is needed for energy it is broken down in the fat cell into three fatty acids. Your body can make some fatty acids, however, there are two fatty acids which must come from the diet, and these are called “essential fatty acids”namely linolenic and linoleic acid. So you do need to eat a small amount of dietary fat each day, about 5 to 10 percent of your total calories.
Carefully count the fat calories you consume as excess cholesterol in the bloodstream can cause major damage to your cardiovascular system resulting in various forms of heart disease and even death.
CardiOmega 3 Seal oil is by far superior to other omega 3 oils from fish oil and flaxseed oil. It contains DPA, DHA and EPA. Omega 3 Fatty Acids can reduce the risk of heart attack by up to 70%! It keeps the artery walls soft and plaque free, smoother and more elastic. Harp Seal oil is 100% free of chemicals and toxins such as mercury.
It is important to know that the oil is a residual product of a chartered harp seal oil hunt in Newfoundland that is humane and does not affect the seal population. In fact the hunt is chartered for population control and is done in a proper manner
Your body is an amazing biological machine, but it can only tolerate so much abuse, you need to be working with your body by reducing the amount of fat,c alorie and cholesterol you consume.

The heart is an intricate muscle and responds to all kinds of stimuli including stress. It works together with your muscles to pump blood through your body. It is at the centre of your emotions, and we refer to it whenever we are heart broken or in love. Your heart is connected to your unconscious nervous system. It is divided into two halves, the right and left. The right half receives the blood returning from every other part of the body after oxygen has been extracted by the various tissues and organs.
Coronorary Heart Disease does not just suddenly appear. The process starts early in life. Over time cholesterol is deposited on the walls of the heart’s blood vessels. As other waste products collects in the walls of the blood vessels, it chemically changes the cholesterol, and even more cholesterol is now trapped. White blood cells move in to clean up this mess, but they do more damage. Unfortunately real bone then forms in the vessel walls and your arteries become hardened. You now have thin pieces of bone surrounding the blodd vessel wall. This takes many decades to develop.
A heart attack doesn’t happen until a clot forms in the narrowed blood vessel and blocks the blood flow entirely. If this blockage is discovered immediately, doctors can give you an intravenous injection of enzymes that chew up the clot. This will often limit or eliminate significant damage to the heart. Doctors will sometimes recommend angioplasty as well, in which a stainless steel mesh called a stent is placed in the area of blockage, to provide an artificial channel for blood flow. Some people have such a high degree of blockage, that a bypass operation is needed.

Everyone has a characteristic cholesterol level that is a result of their genes, diet and lifestyle. Cholesterol levels can be lowered through diets and other natural remedies. Is a high cholesterol level the same as heart disease? No. Cholesterol level is one indication of one’s risk for heart disease, but there are other risk factors. Obesity is another reason for Coronorary Heart Disease as well. The prevention of heart disease through changes in diet , exercise habits and lifestyle ,and through the use of natural health products will ultimately reduce the amount of money we have to spend on by-pass operations and other expensive procedures. The greatest advances in longevity and quality of life will come from natural therapies and prevention.
Even small amounts of physical exercise can reduce your risk of heart disease. Exercise causes you to build muscle tissue which changes your body’s metabolism and causes you to burn off more fat and sugar for energy.
Cigarette smoking is clearly linked to heart disease. Studies have shown that you can reduce the risk of heart disease within two years after quitting.
Obesity is another risk factor for heart disease, even if your cholesterol levels are normal. It increases the risk by promoting high blood pressure and high levels of sugars and fats in the blood.

The heart is an extraordinary organ but it cannot be expected to adapt to overwhelming amounts of damage. Heart Disease is both natural and a consequence of your particular lifestyle. It is related to your genes, your diet, and the way you live. Just because you have a family history of heart disease means that you are doomed to develop heart disease yourself. Remember the amount of vessel blockage in the heart can be reduced after a period of diet, exercise, and other lifestyle changes. Are you willing to make the changes to protect this wonderful organ that is capable of such uncompromising and faithful work, that far exceeds the productivity of even the most efficient man-made device?
Everyday , cardiologists are discovering new treatments for patients with severe heart disease. These new treatments should not be an argument against taking precautionary measures against heart disease. There are too many natural remedies available for us to ignore this approach to a healthy heart.

Medical professionals often find a medical dictionary to be very useful. It defines and explains most every medical term. Most of these dictionaries have a glossary so that terms can easily be found. Now with the Internet, online versions of these dictionaries are easier to search than ever.

Medical Dictionary

There was a vision to make a medical dictionary for non medical professionals. That is, something aimed at the regular person. Websites exist to offer this service. They offer terms as well as symptom searches. Space where their arm used to be, for instance, would indicate their arm has been removed.

But some of these plain person versions of a medical dictionary can be tricky. It’s not easy to diagnose someone’s conditions. Some common symptoms can apply to a variety of different diseases. Mistakes are common. If someone’s chest hurts they may be having a heart attack. It could be a pulled muscle. Always consult a doctor if experiencing chest pains.

Sometimes people panic when they use this type of medical dictionary. They might also begin to second guess good advice from the doctor. Overall, information is good to have.

A medical dictionary can be used to look up medical terms. People sometimes consult them in addition to seeing a doctor. It was a precursor to the web sites.

A medical dictionary can teach a lot about health. For instance a head ache is a throbbing pain in the head. Amazing! Cancer is an unlimited growth that expands by invading cells. A basic medical dictionary would have these types of descriptions.

But sometimes a medical dictionary goes into more detail. There are many types of cancers, they have many different causes and many different treatments . One of these is a cluster. This is an area in which many people have cancer – more than expected in a certain time frame. Such a cancer cluster is the sign of some external cancer inducing element.

Medical Dictionary

A medical dictionary can augment the work of doctors.

Everybody is affected by stress or anxiety from time to time, and more than 3 million Americans will experience panic attacks sometime in their lives. This article will try to explore the relation between this three, and bring some solutions about reducing stress and geting rid of anxiety and panic attacks.

Before we go deeply into analyzing the many faces of stress, anxiety and panic attacks it is necessary to try define them properly.

Stress is a specific response by the body to a stimulus, as fear or pain, that disturbs or interferes with the normal physiological equilibrium of an organism.

Been given this definition, we should always have in the back of our minds what Paul J. Rosch, President of The American Institute of Stress had said the best: “Stress is difficult for scientists to define because it is a subjective sensation associated with varied symptoms that differ for each of us. In addition, stress is not always a synonym for distress. Situations like a steep roller coaster ride that cause fear and anxiety for some can prove highly pleasurable for others. You can learn how to utilize and transform stress so that it will make you more productive and less self-destructive. “-Paul J. Rosch.

The human body responds to stressors by activating the nervous system and specific hormones.
For example, the hypothalamus signals the adrenal glands to produce more of the hormones adrenaline and cortisol and release them into the bloodstream. The liver releases some of its stored glucose to increase the body’s energy. And sweat is produced to cool the body.

All of these physical changes prepare a person to react quickly and effectively to handle the pressure of the moment.A little of this stress can help keep you on your toes, ready to rise to a challenge. And the nervous system quickly returns to its normal state, standing by to respond again when needed.

Unfortunately these changes are less helpful if you are stuck in a busy office or on an overcrowded train. You cannot fight or run away, and so cannot use the chemicals your own body has produced to protect you.

Also stress doesn’t always happen in response to things that are immediate or that are over quickly. Ongoing or long-term events, like coping with a divorce or moving to a new neighborhood or school, can cause stress, too. This can wear out the body’s reserves, leave a person feeling depleted or overwhelmed, weaken the body’s immune system, and cause other problems.

The American Institute of stress is listing 50 common signs and symptoms of stress, which include: dizziness, fainting spells, lack of appetite, nail biting, feeling sick, frequent crying, nervous twitches or muscle spasms, Longer term you may be putting yourself at risk from high blood pressure, heart attacks, strokes, impotence.

And emotionally when you are stressed you may experience many different feelings, including anxiety, fear, anger, frustration and depression. Extreme anxiety and extreme stress can cause giddiness, heart palpitations, headaches or stomach disorders.

Stress can affect our behaviour as well: for example, you may become withdrawn, indecisive or inflexible. You may not be able to sleep properly. You may be irritable or tearful all the time. There may be a change in your sexual habits, and even if you were previously mild-mannered you may suddenly become verbally or physically aggressive.

Although just enough stress can be a good thing, stress overload is a different story – too much stress isn’t good for anyone. For example, feeling a little stress about a test that’s coming up can motivate you to study hard. But stressing out too much over the test can make it hard to concentrate on the material you need to learn.

Everyone experiences stress a little differently. Some people become angry and act out their stress or take it out on others. Some people internalize it and develop eating disorders or substance abuse problems. Some people who have a chronic illness may find that the symptoms of their illness flare up under an overload of stress.

Pressures that are too intense or last too long, or troubles that are shouldered alone, can cause people to feel stress overload.

Some stressful situations can be extreme and may require special attention and care. Posttraumatic stress disorder is a very strong stress reaction that can develop in people who have lived through an extremely traumatic event, such as a serious car accident, a natural disaster like an earthquake, or an assault like rape.

If a person frequently feels tense, upset, worried, or stressed, it may be a sign of anxiety. Anxiety problems usually need attention, and many people turn to professional counselors for help in overcoming them.
We need to better understand what anxiety is, and how is it different then stress.

Anxiety is a feeling of apprehension or fear. Anxiety disorders are a group of psychiatric conditions that involve excessive anxiety. They include generalized anxiety disorder, specific phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and social phobia.

People with these disorders have symptoms every day or nearly every day that cause them to have difficulty with daily activities and relationships. Generalized anxiety disorder is characterized by excessive worry about 2 or more life circumstances for a period of 6 months or longer. Biological and genetic factors may combine with stress to produce psychological symptoms.

How can you know if you suffer from an anxiety disorder? Excessive worry or anxiety about multiple issues , over 6 months or more indicate a generalized anxiety disorder.

So it seems that stress overload , combined with other factors, such as genetics, can develop into an anxiety disorder.

Panic disorder is an anxiety disorder. It causes panic attacks, which are sudden feelings of terror for no reason, and in some cases it starts when a person is under a lot of stress.

People with panic disorder experience:
•sudden and repeated attacks of fear.
•a feeling of being out of control during a panic attacks.
•a feeling that things are not real.
•an intense worry about when the next attack will happen.
•a fear or avoidance of places where panic attacks have occurred in the past.
•pounding heart
•sweating,
•weakness, faintness, or dizziness,
•feeling a hot flush or a cold chill,
•tingly or numb hands,
•chest pain,
•feeling nauseous or stomach pain

There are some important health risks associated with panic attacks, such as an increase risk of heart attack, 38% more then a normal person.
If you have high levels of stress and anxiety, panic attacks are more likely to occur.

But what can we do to deal with stress overload or, better yet, to avoid it in the first place? And if we have developed an anxiety disorder or panic attacks what can we do to go back to normal and cure this terrible desorders?

The most helpful method of dealing with stress is learning how to manage the stress that comes along with any new challenge, good or bad. Stress-management skills work best when they’re used regularly, not just when the pressure’s on.
Here are some things that can help keep stress under control, that also helps with anxiety and panic attacks.

For example taking a stand against overscheduling. Stop expecting yourself and others to be perfect, that can add to our stress level, too (not to mention put a lot of pressure on the other people). When you are in help, you should ask for it.

Getting a good night’s sleep. We should make sure to stay relaxed by building time into our schedule for activities that are calming and pleasurable: reading a good book or making time for a hobby, spending time with your pet, or just taking a relaxing bath.

Treating your body well. Experts agree that getting regular exercise helps people manage stress. (Excessive or compulsive exercise can contribute to stress, though, so as in all things, use moderation.) And eating well to help our body get the right fuel to function at its best. It’s easy when we are stressed out to eat on the run or eat junk food or fast food. But under stressful conditions, the body needs its vitamins and minerals more than ever. Some people may turn to substance abuse as a way to ease tension.

Feeling capable of solving little problems builds the inner confidence to move on to life’s bigger ones – and it and can serve you well in times of stress.

The American Institute of Preventive medicine also has some very good points that we can use in our daily life. Here are some of the advises:

  • Count to 10 when you’re so upset you want to scream. This gives you time to reflect on what’s bothering you and helps to calm you down.
  • Have a warm cup of herbal tea. Modify your environment to get rid of or manage your exposure to stress. Rehearse for stressful events. Imagine yourself feeling calm and confident in an anticipated stressful situation. You will be able to relax more easily when the situation arises.
  • Reward yourself with little things that make you feel good. Help others.
  • View changes as positive challenges. Don’t get down on yourself if you flunk or don’t do well on a test. Plan to be better prepared next time. Ask your academic advisor or others for help.
  • Don’t suppress having a good cry. Tears can help cleanse the body of substances that form under stress. Tears also release a natural pain-relieving substance from the brain.

While all this listed above do help with stress, when you have a problem with anxiety or panic attacks, you might need little bit more then this.

One real solution, that has helped so far over 27 000 people, is a program from Panic Away. What the program Panic Away does, and in particular the One Move Technique™, is give people the ability to immediately stop fearing another panic attack. It is very simple yet amazingly effective. Here is how it works:
After a person experiences panic attacks for the first time, the experience can be so impacting that it leaves a strong imprint on the persons psyche. This mental imprint generates a cycle or loop of anxiety whereby the person develops an unhealthy fear of having another panic attack. People can spend anywhere from months to years caught in this repetitive cycle of anxiety.

Panic Away teaches a technique that now allows that person to break the cycle of anxiety and return to normal everyday living. It allows people to free themselves from ever having a another panic attack again.

A panic attack is a ‘fight or flight’ response to a perceived threat. Here is how Glenda Darby describes it: “ I was 24 when I had my first panic attack. I was sitting in the cinema when I started to feel very uncomfortable. My heart began to race and my whole body began to tense up. At first I thought it might have been an allergic reaction to something, then I began to fear it was something more serious like a heart attack. I left for the toilet and was so terrified I could not go back to my seat.”

Glenda continued to suffer from panic attacks and anxiety for the next 3 years, until she found the Panic Away program on the internet .
Initially she was suspect of buying it but she took a chance and downloaded the e-book. Today she enjoys the lifes she always dreamed, without fear, anxiety or panic attacks.

You can read her full story and see how the program panic attacks helped to cure her panic attacks. She is just one of the 27 000 people who today live free of panic and anxiety.

Instead of letting the fear contol your life, you can now join those 27 000 people who tried the Panic Away program and got cured. By the end of the program you will feel restored, confident and there will be no more panic attacks or anxiety.

There are 3 important characteristics to consider when choosing good medical gloves. First of all the level of protection of the gloves is vital as this is the whole point of the gloves. The cost of the glove is an important factor as you need to think about the number that would be used. You need to get the balance between meeting your costs whilst maintaining quality and reliability. Last of all you need to think about how comfortable the glove is as well as how well it fits on the hand. If you need to put gloves on in a hurry, then you need to be able to put them on quickly and they must be a good fit to allow the wearer to carry out complicated tasks.

These are not the only things to think about. Depending on the tasks the glove is going to be used for; you may also need to think about other factors. Some tasks may mean people need to don gloves that can withstand a higher level of heat. The thickness of the glove and abrasion resistance is another vital factor. You need gloves that offer both of these important factors.

Cornstarch is often added to latex gloves to make putting on the glove as smooth as possible. This can sometimes cause problems during surgical exams as pre-powdered latex gloves have been linked to post-operative complications, delayed wound healing, scar formation, and the potential for misdiagnosis. This has meant that powder free latex gloves have been manufactured along with powder free nitrile gloves to help prevent this. Powder free gloves are often more expensive so many non medical trades still use them to save money. However any industry that can’t risk contamination from powdered gloves is forced to use them.

Latex gloves are used common place in hospitals and medical facilities as a barrier against bacteria and viruses. They are also used in a number of other industries like in the automobile trade. Mechanics use gloves to prevent oil and grease from getting in contact with their skin, this stops harmful chemicals from penetrating the skin. latex gloves are also used in food preperation to prevent the transfer of infection, allergens and disease.

Nitrile gloves are a good solution for people who are sensitive to natural rubber proteins. A nitrile exam glove provides excellent comfort, feel, fit and flexibility to the user while also having a good resistance to oil, grease and wide range of toxins. This means they are good alternative to latex gloves for people who suffer from latex allergies.

There can be a wide variety of causes for lower back pain exercise and lower back pain kidney. For instance, repetitive injuries at work, improper lifting techniques, and poor posture are but a few of the more common ones. There are also other things that can be causes of lower back pain kidney such as various illnesses and diseases. Kidney infections are one of the prime causes of lower back pain that often go undiagnosed, ultimately resulting in disastrous consequences. An undiagnosed kidney infection can cause severe damage to a person’s kidneys. Once a kidney is scarred or otherwise damaged, it’s impossible to heal. If too much damage is done in the area of lower back pain kidney., it can cause a kidney to stop functioning entirely. If a kidney stops functioning, a person will be on dialysis for the rest of their life or will need a kidney transplant. Anytime you have lower back pain that’s accompanied by a fever, you must see a doctor immediately in order to rule out a kidney infection as the culprit.

Pinched nerves are also one of the causes of sharp lower back pain. When discussing nerves, it’s important to note that nerve pain and muscle pain feel different. Nerve pain is typically a sharp, stabbing, or shooting pain. Muscle pains are more aching, throbbing, or tearing pains. Knowing the differences in the two kinds of pains should help you determine exactly what is causing the acute lower back pain to begin with. If it’s a pinched nerve, you will need to seek treatment at a doctor’s office. Various tests can be done to determine which nerve is pinched and what is causing it to become pinched. From there, a treatment plan can be discussed. A pinched nerve can become permanently damaged so it’s important to get treatment for it right away to prevent that from happening.

Perhaps the most obvious causes of lower back nerve pain pain are muscle related injuries. They can happen in a wide variety of ways. Muscle strains and sprains are perhaps the most common. Active sports, using improper techniques when lifting or exercising, pretty much anything you do that requires use of a muscle in the your back can cause lower back injuries and pain. It’s important to be aware at all times of what you’re doing and how you’re doing it if you wish to avoid injuring your back in the area of types of back pain. If you have any questions about a particular exercise or lifting technique or need any help whatsoever with lifting an item or exercising, don’t hesitate to ask. It just may mean the difference between a healthy back and a serious injury. While there are certainly many different causes of types of back pain, they can be easily treated with the proper mix of rest, exercise, and occasionally medication. If at all possible, it’s best to avoid an injury to your lower back entirely to begin with, however that’s not always possible. At the very least, now that you know more about the causes of lower back pain, you know how to handle it better.

A couple good stress relieving techniques can save your life, because stress is more than just uncomfortable it’s also bad for your health. Disciplined practices such as meditation can help relieve that stress, but what if you don’t have the time? Maybe you need to try a few of these simple ways to relax.

1. Give someone a big, loving hug. Hugging usually entails getting a hug back..and there is nothing more relaxing than being in someone else’s arms.

2. Do it differently. Go talk to someoneyou usually don’t i.e. a member of the janitorial staff, or eat lunch on the roof. Just doing anything that breaks the monotony of your normal behavior can be calming.

3. Give yourself a long warm bath. It calms your muscles, and gives you a break from those more stressful activities. Some find that an alternating hot and cold shower is even more calming.

4. Try keeping an eye your thoughts. Spot those ‘nasties’ that lurk just below the surface (hunger, worry, a phone call you need to make) and you can resolve them and feel more relaxed. If you practice this awareness exercise, it may become one of your favorite relaxation techniques.

5. Try laughing. The best way for most people is to stand in front of a full length mirror, stark naked! That always gives me a good laugh; especially first thing in the morning. Just be sure it is a good ‘belly laugh’, one that makes your sides hurt and you become short of breath. Not only will you be relaxed but it burns calories too!

6. Relax to music. Keep your favorites at the office, in the car, or wherever you’ll need it most. Music can soothe that pile of nerve endings that is inside of all of us. Choose the tunes that bring up happy memories and use those to help you.

7. Leave the room for a while. This can help if the things in the room or related to it are triggering your stressful thoughts. Why not leave for a little while? Just remember to not slam the door after you!

8. Breath deeply. Take five deep breaths through your nose. Close your eyes and take notice only to your breathing while doing this. It’s like a mini-meditation, and perhaps the most effective of the quick relaxation techniques.

9. Hydrate yourself with something decaffeinated. Caffeine is a stimulant and brings on a rapid heartbeat and increased mental stimulation. This can bring on feelings of stress and anxiety.

10. Get out and about. If you have at least ten minutes to spare, going for a walk is one of the best relaxation techniques. While you’re at it, admire the view or go and talk to that person in technique 2.

11. Get off your shoes. Remember that scene in Pretty Woman where Richard Gere took his shoes and socks off. That reconnection with Nature has a remarkable effect.

There are many reasons to check a persons morality, especially if you need to trust someone with your health or life. Looking for court records or maybe you’d like to check someone’s civil records? This information could reflect the way a person does business. You can never be too cautious.

P.S. Also try emotional freedom technique training – EFT has helped many people to take the proper care of the stress.

Flaxseed is showing up in more and more products because of its benefits to health. Not only is flaxseed nutrient dense, but it contains compounds which may even promote healthy hearts. If you are wondering how to add flaxseed to your diet, you have lots of choices. Flaxseed comes as a ground meal you can add to recipes, as an ingredient in processed foods like cereal and bread, as flaxseed oil, or an oil capsule.

Components of Flaxseed

The edible flaxseed, also known as linseed, is roughly 40 percent fat, 20 percent protein and 30 percent fiber. Several vitamins and minerals are present at high levels in flaxseed including magnesium, manganese and thiamin. If you’re looking for worthwhile dietary additives then this is one form to consider.

Scientists believe that flax makes for healthier hearts due to the high content of fatty acids in the oil. Flaxseed is an excellent supplement that’s full of omega-3 fatty acids. It’s believed that eating a proper ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acids helps ward off cardiovascular distress. In the typical American diet, about ten grams of omega-6 fatty acids are consumed for every one of omega-3 fatty acids.

The more Omega-3 in your diet the better. But omega-6 fatty acids are more widespread in commonly consumed foods. One way to reach the proper ratios of omega-6 to omega-3 fats for a truly beneficial cardio diet is to eat foods like flaxseed in addition to fish, another source of omega-3s.

Flax Oil for Healthy Hearts

Flax intake may not prevent cardiovascular disease but components of the oil are beneficial.

Flaxseed contains high levels of omega-3 fatty acids and fiber, two food components known to be heart healthy. Don’t shy off from flax oil because the benefits are numerous: eating flax may reduce blood cholesterol levels, reduce blood glucose levels after eating a meal, and increase blood omega-3 fatty acid levels.

How to Add Flaxseed to Your Diet

You can buy flaxseed already ground as a flaxseed meal. This form of flaxseed is very convenient for adding to recipes or everyday foods. For a product that lasts longer (ground flaxseed turns rancid fairly quickly due to its fatty acid profile) look for whole flaxseeds and grind them as needed.

What is a good serving size of flaxseed? It depends on whether you are adding ground flaxseed or flaxseed oil. For ground flaxseed, start by adding about tablespoon per day to meals and recipes.

One tablespoon contains about 2 grams of fiber, 3 grams of fat (about half of which is healthy omega-3 fatty acids) and many vitamins and minerals. Because of flax’s high fiber content, it’s best to gradually increase the amount of flax you eat each to avoid gastrointestinal problems like constipation.

For flaxseed oil, start with one half to one teaspoon of flaxseed oil. It doesn’t take much to provide the benefit.

One way to add flaxseed to your diet is to use flaxseed in recipes. Ground flaxseed can be added to most baked goods. Just substitute part of the flour with ground flaxseed. Start by using 1/4 cup of ground flaxseed for a full recipe of cookies, muffins, pancakes, waffles or bread. Also, search for tested recipes that already contain flax in larger amounts.

Another choice is to sprinkle ground flax in dishes you eat every day. Use ground flaxseed on top of cereal, yogurt, in smoothies, or even in salad dressing.

Your pharmacy will have flax in many forms. You will not gain the benefit of extra fiber and other nutrients by eating the oil alone, but you will get all the omega-3 fatty acids found in flax.
